Welcome
We are an international ministry with headquarters in Sterling, Virginia.
Presence of God Church Ministry is an evangelical Christian church. Our pastors are: Elmer and Yanet Romero. Our focus as a ministry is: fulfilling the 5 functions of the church. Worship, Proclamation, Teaching, service, and Communion. We believe in the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-16) In one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29; 2 Corinthians 13:14). |
WHAT WE BELIEVE:?
Evangelical christian doctrine
What we believe:
In the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-16)
In one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (1John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
In Christ's virgin birth, his vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven (Isaiah 7:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 8:34; Acts 1:10,11).
In salvation through faith in the merits of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:7; Ephesians 1:7).
In water baptism by immersion, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16; Romans 6:3-5).
In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, who works in the believer and lives a holy life (Acts 12:14; Peter 1:15,16; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
In divine healing through the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross (Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16, 17; James 5:13,14)
In the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with initial evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4-11; 44-46; 15:7,8)
At the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection of the dead (Revelation 19:7-9; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; John 14:3).
Do we believe in heaven and hell?
We believe in the divine revelation of the Holy Scriptures regarding the heavenly home that Christ has gone to prepare for those who love him. It will be a place of eternal happiness, free from all evil, where man will enjoy perfect communion with his God.
There is also a place of eternal torment "prepared for the devil and his angels." Man goes to this place only because of his persistent rebellion against God and for refusing to receive the grace and salvation that God offers him through Jesus Christ (Revelation 20: 10-15; 21: 1-8).

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE ABOUT THE “END OF THE WORLD”?
This phrase commonly used to refer to some destructive cataclysm of all existing things, could be more accurately expressed by saying "the end of the age."
We believe that this era is fast approaching its end. However, he believes that God will intervene in human affairs by administering punishment to a wicked world and an apostate church, during a period called "the great tribulation."
But when this storm of judgment has passed, Christ will return with his Church to reign for a thousand years. Later, after the great white throne where the living and the dead will be judged, those who rejected the Grace of God, when "all things are subject to him (the Son), then the Son himself will also be subject to the one who subjected him to him." all things, so that God may be all in all." (1 Cor. 15.28).

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE REGARDING MAN, HIS ORIGIN, FALL AND REDEMPTION?
God created man in his image and likeness, a spiritual being with free will, but that led him to commit sin because he chose the fruit of the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Having been given dominion over the earth to be exercised under the direction of his Creator, he himself fell and became a slave to sin and a disrupter of created things.
Man has rebelled against divine guidance, thus losing the perfection of his original state, and turning away from God, the Source of his life and well-being.
But God has not abandoned man. His justice and holiness demanded that sin be punished because he himself said: “The soul that sins will die.” Moved by his great love and mercy, God sent the Son made man to die in his place (John 3:16).
The death of the Son of God, in the place of the sinner, opens the way for his reconciliation with his Creator. He gives you a new life in communion with God. In this way, the God who is Holy, also Just, made righteousness in the Son so that those who believe in him may become the righteousness of God in him. (2 Cor.5.14-21). The Lord declares him “New Man” created according to God in the justice and holiness of the truth (Eph.4.22).
Through the Son Jesus Christ, man is redeemed from the power of sin and vain living (1 Peter 1:18-21). His life is holy and because of his fruits he is known as a son of God (Titus 2.11-14).
What does man have to do to enjoy the benefits of this redemption?
Repent and believe the Gospel, thus responding to the will of God in “obedience to faith” (Mark 1:14,15; Luke 24:47; Acts 16:30,31; Ephesians 2:8; Rom.16,26 ).

WHAT DO YOU UNDERSTAND BY REPENTANCE?
Repentance is the work of God's Grace that allows man to recognize his sin. It is nothing other than the Holy Spirit “convicting” of sin, justice and judgment (Jn.16.8-11). This change in the way of thinking, feeling and acting is the expression of the “new birth.” The saved man experiences the rejection of sin as a reaction typical of his new nature in Christ and by faith lives according to the revealed Justice of God: “as it is written: But the just will live by faith” (Rom.1.17) .
Man no longer sees God as distant and alien to his life, but as the Savior and owner of his being. Jesus Christ has become his Lord. He is sorry for having offended him and because he has been reconciled by the blood of Christ, it is his desire to please him and keep his profession of faith firm through a life surrendered to him, with a holy life and conduct according to his new nature. .
Because he is righteous, having experienced being justified, this being a complete and perfect work, accomplished once and for all in Christ, dying on the Cross of Calvary, he now lives in the power of His resurrection, a new life and enters into live the process of sanctification. In this process he learns to live according to who he now is. As a new creation, according to the inner man (Eph.16) he is strengthened with power by the Holy Spirit; However, there are times where he is grieved when he commits some sin as an expression of the “old man” (Eph.4.22), and upon confessing it to God, he receives forgiveness without having ceased to be saved (1 Jn.1.9).

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY BELIEVING IN THE GOSPEL?
We believe that the Gospel is accepting the good news, that Christ has died in your place and now freely offers you forgiveness and eternal life. It is accepting Him as Savior and Lord, trusting in His grace and willing to live the power of His Word. It is corresponding to the love of God, accepting the salvation that He has provided. It is taking his place as a son in God's family.
WHAT DO WE BELIEVE ABOUT PRAYER?
That every Christian has the privilege of going directly to God in prayer, like a son, to his father, to talk to Him, thank Him for His goodness, tell Him about our problems and receive His help and direction. The Word of God says: “There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ” (1 Timothy 2:5).
Also: “Therefore, since we have a great high priest... Jesus, the Son of God... let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:14). ,16).
By reading the Bible in prayer, the believer enjoys daily frank and sincere communication with his Heavenly Father.
At the same time, he knows that the Word guides him to join his brothers because the prayer of “two or three”, as an expression of his unity to the Body of Christ, has spiritual support and channels a supernatural power (Mt.18.19, twenty).
What do we believe about praying for the sick?
We believe that God desires physical and spiritual health for his children. In this way, the church obeys the biblical instruction to pray for the sick so that they may be healed.
We believe that today, as in the days of the Early Church, the Lord Jesus continues to confirm His Word with miracles of supernatural healing and deliverance, from the power of sin, from curses that affect the soul and body with diseases, and from Satan himself ( James 5:14-16; Mark 16:17-20).
We also believe in the help that medical science can provide to diseases that are organic and the product of disorders in the natural world; We thank God for it, and in no way does the Gospel oppose the use and practice of medications duly prescribed and/or approved by the Ministry of Public Health. But above all, we believe that there is the supernatural power of God that is manifested in those who approach Him with faith and sincerity.

WHO CAN RECEIVE THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT?
The baptism in the Holy Spirit, accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in an unlearned language, is for all Christians (Acts 2:38-39). We recognize that it has an unlimited scope, that it goes beyond human understanding, and allows that, in addition to being edified by the person who practices it, the Holy Spirit has the opportunity to intercede on his behalf; train him supernaturally in the use of the gifts, and grant him spiritual authority (1 Cor.14.4; Ro.8.26,27; 1 Cor.12.7-11).
WHAT SACRAMENTS DO WE PRACTICE?
We practice two sacraments: Holy Communion and Baptism in water.
In the Holy Supper, believers partake of the broken bread and the fruit of the vine, symbolism of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed on the cross to give eternal life to all who accept Him as Savior.
In water baptism by immersion, Christians bear symbolic witness to his death and burial to sin, and his spiritual resurrection to new life in Christ.

HOW TO MAKE A PRAYER OF FAITH FOR GOD TO ENTER YOUR LIFE?
Repeat this prayer with me!!!
My God, at this very moment I ask your forgiveness for my sins and my faults, I repent, I ask you to enter my heart and change my life for the better. I accept you as my only Lord and savior. Let me know you, talk to me, I want to have a communion with you. I ask you to write my name in the book of eternal life so that when the time comes for me to die, I can be in paradise with you forever. AMEN!!!
